Blogging – A Message from John

Blog post from John Rozenberg

I’m told that I should write a blog. So here I sit, wondering what to say. I looked up the definition of “Blog” and here’s what Wikipedia has to say…

A blog (a truncation of the expression web log)[1] is a discussion or informational site published on the World Wide Web and consisting of discrete entries (“posts”)…. Many blogs provide commentary on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries; others function more as online brand advertising of a particular individual or company.

It goes on in great detail, as Wikipedia tends to do, but the long and short of it is that a blog is just a sharing of knowledge, thoughts, and opinions. Well I have knowledge, thoughts, and opinions, so writing a blog should be easy, right?  All I need is a topic… and there is where I get stuck and where you, the reader, come in.

You see, I’ve written and spoken a lot, yet first and foremost I’m a listener. So speak to me, I’m listening. I want you to tell me what you want me to write about. Suggest topics, ask questions, tell me what you’re struggling with, and tell me what’s working in your life. This blog is for you and you get to shape it.

In the meantime I’ll tell you a little bit about what’s up with me.

It’s November 24, 2015 and I’ve been considering what 2016 is going to be for me. A good friend of mine has a tradition of picking a word for the year. I like that idea and it brings up the question; what’s my focus going to be?

On the personal side, for me this year is about getting into great physical shape. So words like fitness, healthy, strong, fit, committed, discipline, flexibility, and yoga come to mind.  I think I’ve narrowed it down to Strong. Fit, and flexible. On the business side I’m feeling into words like growth, expansion, opportunity, inspiration, and focus. It’s a work in progress and I’m still looking for the one perfect word.

What is your word going to be? What will you be focusing on in 2016?

Speak to me, I want to hear from you. You inspire me.

Happy Holidays!

Love and balance,

John Rozenberg
