Commitment
When we commit to ANYTHING, everything that is not in alignment with that commitment shows up. The "unaligned thing" comes to the forefront to challenge our commitment. The unaligned thing may be a belief. That belief is fearing for its life. If it is exposed, it will literally be killed. This fear of death gets translated into reasons, symptoms, and sometimes even illnesses in an attempt to block us from fulfilling our commitment. An example would be committing to a monogamous relationship, and suddenly getting a call from an old lover, or committing to a diet and the next day a French bakery opens right next to your office.
What’s next?
Why do we humans seem to always live into what’s next? We do it in almost everything we do. If we’re not anticipating what’s next, we’re dwelling on what was.

It drives us to put aside our rational thinking, to be spontaneous and to say and do things we wouldn’t normally do or say. It may even inspire us to be brave. Brave enough to make promises and proposals…
